Biography

Tracey D. Martinez' practice has an emphasis in the area of family and domestic law.

Prior to joining Mullins, Hirsch & Jones in 2005, Ms. Martinez was a litigation associate with a Norman-based civil practice law firm where she practiced a wide range of law including family and domestic law, civil jury trials, employment law, personal injury, and criminal defense.

Ms. Martinez was born in 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas and eventually moved to Lawton, Oklahoma. Ms. Martinez attended the University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate work, obtaining a Bachelor’s of Arts degree, with distinction, in English in 1998. Ms. Martinez then attended law school as a Comfort Scholar at the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2002.

Ms. Martinez has been involved in the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court since 2001, serving as an officer in that organization since 2004. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division of the Oklahoma County Bar Association since 2005, serving as the Secretary/Treasurer for the 2006/2007 Term. Ms. Martinez is also currently serving as the State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division’s liaison to the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Member Services Committee.

In her free time, Ms. Martinez enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, who is a detective for the Oklahoma City Police Department and her son, Garrett. She enjoys running and reading as her favorite pastimes.
